School Safety Using Garrett Detectors

If you read a great deal of of my articles, you will know that I do not advocate spending mega bucks to get into this wondrous sideline of treasure finding with metal detectors. As a hobbyist with almost 40 years of using metal detectors, I am convinced that the most highpriced instrumentation is not the best way to start. What delights me today is the fact that the huge name metal detector makers are constructing numerous outstanding machines at price levels that permit people at each age and income level to find out that this is the best sideline in the world. The Garrett Ace 250 is one of the very best of these new detectors. Priced at just over $200, this is a powerful detector with galore features.

Here are galore of the fantasti features of the Garrett Ace 250 found on detectors costing hundreds more:

The instrument takes no time to get ready for some severe fun. In less than three minutes I was ready to try it out. Exceptional remainder and very light weight, will permit all day hunting. Although I have not done a finish field test, my ventures in using it convinced me that this is a winner. I dug up a man's gold ring at more than 9 inches deep. My test gardens provide a great challenge for any detector and this unit did very well in my trash garden as well as my 30 year old coin garden. It performed closely as well as the Fisher F2 (my personal favored start-up unit) and out performed it on gold targets. Just my short testing of the Ace 250 has caused me to further move away from the big boys. For closely all of my coin shooting on land, I will grab my two light weight machines from Garrett and Fisher and leave the huge boys at home. Who needs them? Here's to "diggin it"! Larry
