Works good, but beware of a few issues...
By Robbert
This product worked great out of the box, but it wasn't without delay clear how the receiver will have to be oriented, nor was it evident that the acknowledgement blue led (that blinks when it receives IR commands) must be routed the same way as the receiver. The LED must in truth be integrated with the receiver, so you don't have to run two wires!
Also, the receiver seems to be sensible to sunlight at times. The blue acknowledgement LED will stay on solid if that happens. Close the drapes and open them again normally solves the problem. If you don't do that, the regular IR commands you're attempting to send won't get through at all!

Best remote control extender yet
By djk1940
I have employed a lot of remote control extends, and this is the best for quality and performance that I have found. However, it may be necessary to run a lot of wires to take full vantage of all it's capability.
If all the video/audio elements that you want to control are all in a single cabinet, you may not need this model....the less pricey Hot Link Pro Remote Control Booster System ( 8225P ) may fit your needs. However, with the addition of Hot Link Pro Emitter Expansion Kit, the Pro X12 model is designed to without apparent effort exaggerate to two locations, connected by either a cat 5 cable, or a pair of wires.
Setup was exceedingly easy. Feedback is provided by a blue light from an LED which comes on when the IR sensor is in an IR noisy location, or receives an IR signal from your remote. This LED makes it easy to find a sensor emplacement that is both noise-free, and competent of receiving the remote IR signal. I found such a spot behind my LCD TV, with the senor facing the wall, and plainly applied scotch tape to hold it in place. I disagree with one of the reviewers that the blue LED must be integrated with the received. The receiver may be hidden, but the LED is so small, it is difficult to see when taped onto an edge of the TV. In that location, it provides an acknowledgement that an IR Signal was received; however, if you don't want that acknowledgement, hide the blue LED anyplace you want.
aid for this product is likewise the best I've ever experienced. Within an hour after asking a question when it comes to the product, I was in a phone speech with the architect of the product. He not only had all the answers, he was more than willing help me use me use the Pro model for an application that the Pro X12 model was perfectly designed to meet....with a lot less set up effort. The amount of setup venture saved for the divergence in price made the Pro X12 model my best option....and provided more choices for any future applications.

AWESOME Stupendous AMAZING
By J. Scott Hester
AWESOME Stupendous AMAZING and yes, it worked right off the bat, not similar to each other factor in our HD revamp. There is no discernable lag time, which is the thing I was most worried when it comes to after 7 years of TiVo rhythms. But no, it was as if the elements were all in the same room. I exceptionally love the fact that the "eye" in truth isn't dependant on line-of-sight (just like the ad says!). I genuinely haven't been this excessively affected emotionally regarding an electronics buy since my introductory TiVo. One word of caution, the images in the directions don't match what you get, but it is super easy to figure out which of the three parts is which. The blue LED which suggests that the IR signal has been received took a bit of time to find, but not actually an issue giving careful consideration to how AWESOME Stupendous AMAZING this is. Kudos Hotlink!
