It provides three target sizes on the LCD screen, coins show up as small, targets with a diameter of four inches shows up as medium, and items more spectacular than four inches come up as large. I love this feature because I commonly only like to gather coins, so I only dig up targets that are in the little range. It reduces my fatigue because I don't dig up as much trash as before. If that wasn't sufficient it also has five independent search modes: Coins, jewelry, relics, zero, and custom. If you hunt for coins like I do than choose coin search mode and you're off to find coins, If jewelry is your forte than choose jewelry etc... these search modes are preset at the factory but you may likewise adjust them consequently to suit your needs. One other feature worth mentioning is it is discrimination circuitry which fundamentally allows you to distinguish versus undesirable targets. Unlike metal detectors of the past this gem of a metal detector will not lose sensitivity while discriminating. The Garrett GTP 1350 comes with innovative engineering and all the features above mentioned, yet it is one of the easiest to use while out in the field. Garrett has made sure that beginners, intermediate, and experts similar will all love this metal detector that is why they designed it and stamped their name on it. The Garrett GTP 1350 is unquestionably one of the most technical advanced, easy to use, and versatile metal detector on the market today. Great Detector... but skip the Sports Package

Let me get started by echoing the praise this detector has received from others. For the price you won't find a better detector, period. That being said, if I were to make this buy all over again, I would buy the basic ace 250 with the ordinary coil. I'd hold off on the 9X12 coil and buy the 4.5" sniper coil instead. I would also commend an extra upper/lower pole assemblage and bolt set. This allows you to quickly switch amidst coils with much less hassle. The sniper coil is more versatile than the 9X12 and makes it posing no difficulty to learn how to distinguish incisively what's beneath the detector (target isolation). The only exception to this recommendation would be if you're intent is to use this detector solely on the beach. If that's the case, get the ace 250 with the general coil and the Garrett pro pin-pointer. Be sure to buy a decent set of headphones and coil covers. The sports package includes headphones which aren't so outstanding (no volume control), and I'm all set with the duffel bag, weather cover and treasure hunters book. All three coils are outstanding but if you're just starting out you in truth don't need everything right away. Take time to learn your detector, don't get discouraged by trash there's a lot of it and it's everywhere.

Ace 250 Metal Detector

This is a outstanding product from Garrett.Very easy to use .It is not a toy.
It was a outstanding deal also as it came with 2 search coils.The only downside was the bag is a duffle bag and it dosent fit without taking apart. over all outstanding buy!!Would tell anybody who wants to get in to metal detecting,this is the way to go for little money,it works very well.

The Ace 250 has real capacity and a great deal of things going for it. It is exceedingly light,
and that means more comfortable detecting hour after hour, more outstanding convenience
in backpacking and traveling, and low-fatigue contest hunting. It is easy to
understand and fun to use. Most of all, it incorporates those wondrously expensive
features into a most lowpriced package.
