Cabelas Shooter Detector Bounty Hunter

If you have ever been at the beach and saw someone walking around with a metal detector, earphones and a sand scoop, they could be classified as a "beach bum".

The reason is they in all probability spend as much time at the beach as any sun worshipper.

These folks are locating money, jewelry, keys and other lost items at the beach.

On one of our vacations to San Diego California I had observed 3 to 5 humans searching a general beach. I was competent to watch real close since I had my binoculars.

As I observed it appeared each treasure hunter was scooping sand regarding each 5 minutes. I decisive to focus on a lady swinging her detector side to side at a rapid pace. It was hard to see they types of coins she was finding but on one occasion, as she scooped the sand and looked at the item, it was no doubt it was a bracelet.

Most fellow detector passionate are happy to talk with regards to their finds just as long as you don't look like contest for their area. Since I left my detector in the car, I appeared as no threat.

I neared her and conveyed we observed her bracelet find and was curious. As we talked she indicated her occupation was a nurse. Coin shooting on the beach was a sparetime activity and a way to relax. She was using a Bounty Hunter Sharp Shooter II. It was paid for by her finds on the beach.

Three months ago she found two ladies Bracelets (One later confirmed as silver with diamonds, the other was gold and cubic Z's) on the same day. She ran classified ads in the newspaper to see if the owners could be located. One lady came forward to assert her diamond bracelet. It turned out to be a 40th wedding anniversary present. I'm not sure how much it was worth, but the treasure hunter received $100 reward.

The other bracelet she found turned out to be gold with Cubic Z stones. Because of the size of the stones, a local jeweler indicated it was worth around $200. Very good day for this one beach treasure hunter.

By C. F. Hill
The "Bounty Hunter Pinpointer" is a very utile hand kept little metal detector applied to support narrow your search after the more spectacular metal detector has located an object. The pinpointer has a very fixed range of regarding 1" - 1.5", depending on the type of metal and size of the object. This may support you find very little items and reduces the prospects that your find will be damaged by your digging tools.

A good accessory, recommended!

I got this with my metal detector. it has been vary utile in finding the coin in the dirt pile. occasionally, if the ground is soft enough, I may pinpoint the coin by sticking the probe in the ground. Makes for a quick dig.

1Very underwhelmed with this product.
By Clara Brown
Basically what I don't like with regards to this instrument is that it doesn't beep until the tip of the wand actually touches metal. I was hoping this device could aid me narrow my search after digging a hole, or to pinpoint me in the right direction. But it does not one thing of the sort. I held mine less than half an inch over an old iron nail I found, and it didn't beep until I in truth touched the nail with the wand. Useless! I was thinking that this was a device to help you find something when you know there is metal in a sure area or hole you've dug, but just aren't sure precisely where to dig. For example, I used the metal detector the other day and it went off over an area of in regards to a foot in circumference or so. I start out digging and digging, and find nothing, and yet it still beeps over this hole. Eventually I dug assorted inches to the right of the hole and found an old tool of a heap of kind. I purchased the pinpointer thinking i could wave it over the hold and it would direct me to where the metal is more precisely. Again, this only beeps if the wand touches the metal. I don't see the value in that, personally, and I think I wasted my money. I would return it if I hadn't thrown away the packaging.
