Bounty Hunter Platinum Metal Detector

It's the excitement and sudden intense sensation of finding treasures that makes metal detecting such a outstanding hobby. If you have not had much luck and only found a few coins and trash the probabilities are that you will store the metal detector in the closet and will stay there for a long time. So what may you do to prevent that from happening?

I closely want to say lower your expectations, just be prepared to find and take home a lot of trash! There is no other way, if you don't go through everything you won't find anything. Yes you will end up throwing away 60 - 80% of what you brought home. But what you find depends on much more than just your metal detector. It depends on how much you recognise of metal detecting itself, the tricks of the trade if you will, and of course where you go to find your treasures. Don't suppose to find a musket round on the beach.

The more effort you put into finding outstanding treasures, the more you will be likely to find. Do your research. Research places and relics in your area, or close by. The internet is full of selective information and the local library will be one of the most worthful resources of data of your area. Look up internet sites to find ideas for new places to go hunting. But where ever you go, you want to recognise the history of where you are going to recognise what to suppose and where the best place to find it would be. Type in "History of..." in any search engine and you are bound to get tons of results for any area you might be thinking of going. It's also good to know the history for when you find something of value, you might be competent to put a date to your treasure, or just to know more when it comes to what you found.

If researching is not for you, you may always join a metal detecting club. Metal detecting clubs does the exploration of historical web sites and areas for you along with establishment with the owners of the properties, the legal distinct elements of things and host treasure hunts that you may join. Clubs likewise gives you the probability to meet and talk to people who may give you worthful counsel and may become new friends. You just need to pack your gear and show up.

Never overlook or count a internetsite out that you think has been overhunted. You may go back and observe the website over and over again after big rain storms. When the ground is soaked, the wet ground is more conductive and you might find deeper treasures. After hard winters the ground shifts after it thaws, making it possible to disclose new treasures which weren't there last year. Doing so gives you a better prospect to find more lost and /or priceless treasures.

Just to recap: Metal detecting takes more skill than just following the beeping sound of a metal detector, do your research, join a club, take delight in the adventure and learn how to find those actually worthful treasures.

5I Love It -- It's PAID FOR ITSELF already!!
By A. Shubert
I in truth receive pleasure from metal detecting, I get to wander around the great outdoors, soak up a little sun, and get a little exercise -- never knowing what I may find. I have found coins and jewelry at the beach and this detector has PAID FOR ITSELF a few times over!!!!!!!!

I am an avid "Treasure" hunter and when I broke my old metal detector I thought I would buy a new detecter as a Father's Day gift to me. After reading the reviews on respective sites, including here at Amazon, I decisive to get this one. This one had a good price and had galore of the features I was looking for.

I have employed it galore times and love it. It beeps without doubt or question when the type of metal I am hunting is found. I think humans at times get confused that metal detecting isn't like hunting for a radioactive object, perpetually emitting detectable radiation, like "you are getting warmer or cooler", it beeps when it finds metal. You do need goodnatured tolerance the introductory few times you use it, because you need to set the sensitivity to find the right descriminitation (the capacity of the detector to discern metal types). Like anything, it gets having little impact to use as you get intimate with what you are doing.

I highly commend this model!!

5I FOUND MY WEDDING RING!!!
By Californioa Spa girl
After 11 Years I managed to lose my wedding ring at the beach last Sunday! I knew that I had to do something to find it, so a friend of mine suggested that I buy a metal detector. After looking around the web, I decisive to buy the Treasure Cove Fortune Finder Model TC-3020. The specs and features of the unit were outstanding for the price in comparison to other brands and styles. I remunerated a little extra for expedited shipping, as I knew time was of the essence. I ordered it on Sunday night and it arrived to me on Wednesday. That afternoon I put it together, it was super easy. The kids and I headed to the beach in hopes of finding my ring. I knew it was going to be a long shot, the beach is finelooking usual and busy! I went to the frequent area where we were sitting and turned it on. At first, I had to calibrate the unit, according to the user manual. That was easy enough. I put on the earphones and started moving the detector over the sand. I immediatley got a tone and my son employed the handy scoop to dig. His eyes lit up as it sifted the sand from the holes and he saw something shiny. It was a little girls metal hair clip! I was excessively affected emotionally to recognise that the metal detector worked! We held searching over the sand and it went off again. We scooped and this time it was a piece of foil - odd! By this time we were having fun and I was very hopeful! We held scanning over the sand and it went off again. He scooped, sifted and THERE IT WAS.. MY wedding ring!!! :) We all jumped for joy!! Not only did I find my ring, but I think I found a new fun sideline and a great thing to do with the kids!!! I 100% commend the Treasure Cove TC-3020 - it was so easy to use and worked exceedingly well for this mom!

3Decent
By Theebaldone
My 9 year old wanted a metal detector for christmas. I searched and looked at various brands. All the ones that seemed like they would be actually good were priced marketing around $400.00 and up which was more than i wanted to spend for his basi one. i found this one listed on Amazon and it showed it was normally 400 and change but on sale for much less so I purchased it thinking it ought to be actually good. The detector itself is pretty good and picks items up with regards to 8 to 9 inches down, nonetheless the head phones are cheap and do not fit well. The carry case is fine and the sand scoop is as well. The biggest complaint I have with this is that the directions are NOT very good. It is fine on how to assemble, but if you have no experience on using a detector ( we didn't ) it does a lousy occupation taking you through the routine of showing you how to use the 3 mode features that give off dissimilar tones. If the directions had been well thought out and a lot more in depth then I would probably be saying this was an aweinspiring item.
